Druid is located in Galway, on the west coast of Ireland. This is where the company was founded in 1975 and where it continues to work from. Both the theatre and the administration offices are located in Galway although Druid also tours extensively in Ireland and overseas.
Casting for Druid is managed by our Dublin based casting agent, Maureen Hughes. All enquiries should be sent directly to Maureen and any CVs which are sent to us here in Galway are automatically forwarded to her for consideration.

Druid produces and presents theatre but does not run any courses for actors or directors.

If there is no Druid production currently on at the theatre, you may still find that there are other events taking place. While the theatre is used mainly by Druid, we also hire it to other companies to present their work. Please contact the office to find out if there is anything on at the moment.

Druid offers internships in the areas of administration, marketing and stage management. Please note that the time and duration of the internship is linked to our production schedule.

Yes, the theatre is available for hire when it is not being used by Druid. For more information about this see the Venue Hire page.
The company’s rehearsals are not open to the public and it is therefore not possible to watch or take photographs during our rehearsal period.

The primary source of information about Druid’s work is this website and our archive (see next question -“Can I look through your production archive?”). Unfortunately, we are not in a position to respond to the high level of enquiries we receive and therefore cannot guarantee a detailed response to your query.
Our archive is managed and catalogued off-site by the Archive and Special Collections Department of the National University of Ireland, Galway. Access is granted to bona fide scholars. For contact details, please contact the Druid office.

Druid does not operate a costume rental facility.
