Awards for The Beauty Queen of Leenane

Druid is honoured to have received 2 IRNE (Independent Reviews of New England) awards for The Beauty Queen of Leenane by Martin McDonagh in Boston.

The awards ceremony took place on Monday 23rd and Druid received the following accolades:

Best Actress in a Visiting Production - Marie Mullen

Best Visiting Production - The Beauty Queen of Leenane

Also nominated were Aisling O’Sullivan & Marty Rea for their roles as Maureen and Pato respectively.

Druid would like to extend congratulations to all nominees and a huge thanks to our funders: Culture Ireland; Arts Council of Ireland; NUI Galway and also to David Eden Productions and all at Arts Emerson where The Beauty Queen of Leenane played in 2017 as part of an extensive national and international tour.
