About the Tour

Druid revived their acclaimed production of Tom Murphy’s Conversations on a Homecoming for the 1986 Pepsico Summerfare in New York.

About the Play

The time is the early seventies and the gathering together of old friends has been prompted by the return home of one of them after an absence of ten years. It becomes clear in the course of the evening that the years have wrought changes in all of them, particularly in regard to their attitudes to the absent of the pub, J.J., a man who had greatly influenced them in the past.
