DruidSynge DVD

The DruidSynge DVD box set is a beautiful showcase of the staging of all six of J.M. Synge’s plays. Filmed in 2005, the box set stars Aaron Monaghan who reprises the role of Christy Mahon in this 2009 production.

In addition to the six plays, there are also three special features:

Mighty Talk – a behind the scenes documentary which charts the process of staging DruidSynge from rehearsals right up to the opening night at the 2005 Galway Arts Festival.

Playboys & Rebels which examines the controversy surrounding the 1907 staging of Playboy at the Abbey Theatre.
