Free schools performance of The Last Return

This morning, students from schools across Cork attended a free performance of Druid’s award-winning comedy The Last Return at the Everyman Theatre. 650 free tickets were distributed as part of Druid’s Community and Education programme which is supported by Aerogen and the Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation.

Druid’s world premiere production of The Last Return by Sonya Kelly is currently on tour across Ireland. Directed by Sara Joyce, The Last Return has already visited Roscommon, Limerick, Clare, Donegal and Meath. Following dates in Cork, the show continues to Siamsa Tíre in Kerry and the Town Hall Theatre in Galway, where a second free schools performance will take place for Galway students.

Druid's Community and Education programme aims to deepen engagement with professional theatre within education and local community settings. This award-winning programme is focused on inclusion and access to the arts, community togetherness, and artistic and cultural expression. The programme is made possible by the support and partnership of Galway company Aerogen and the Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation.
