British Ambassador visits Druid Lane

We were honoured to welcome Kara Owen, British Ambassador to Ireland to Druid Lane last week.
As part of her official visit to Galway, Ambassador Owen met with Garry Hynes (Artistic Director, Druid), Maureen Kennelly (CEO, Druid) and Adrian O'Neill (Chair, Board of Directors, Druid) at The Mick Lally Theatre.
We presented Ambassador Owen with a selection of Druid gifts including the newly published book, Druid Theatre 1975-2025: 50 Years of New Irish Plays.
Later in the day, as part of Ambassador Owen's visit to University of Galway, Francis O'Connor (Set and Costume Designer) gave the Ambassador a tour of some Druid model boxes which were on display as part of the Druid symposium on campus.
We're very grateful to Keith Finnegan, International Relations Officer at Galway City Council for including Druid in the Ambassador's visit to our wonderful city.
