Job Opportunity: Company Manager

The position of Company Manager requires the successful candidate to tour both nationally and internationally. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual.

Who We Are

Druid is Ireland’s premier touring theatre company. We produce award-winning theatre at home and abroad, touring regularly to prestigious national and international venues and festivals. We have performed on roadsides, in iron age forts, in castles and bars and on grand stages across four continents, with the finest Irish and international talent.

Duties include:

- Recruiting and managing the Stage Management teams on all Druid productions

- Running technical rehearsals and performances

- Maintaining cast and stage management timesheets, submitting weekly payroll, and managing all financial transactions within the Stage Management team

- Pastoral care of production personnel, including the implementation of Druid’s HR policies and procedures as required

- Assisting the Producer on advance planning of Druid productions, including but not limited to production budgeting, drafting schedules and contracts, arranging work visas, arranging casting sessions and running availability checks on personnel

- Acting as key liaison between Druid staff and freelance production personnel

- Supporting the Marketing and Press team on arranging access to production personnel as required

- Acting as key liaison between Druid and each venue’s front of house and box office departments, including setting up and managing Druid’s ticket allocation in every venue

- Booking all rehearsal spaces, accommodation and travel, including the management of an accommodation and travel budget in consultation with the Producer

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in senior stage management positions both nationally and internationally, including running technical rehearsals and performances

- High proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar

- A good working knowledge of the Irish theatre sector

- Excellent time management, communication and troubleshooting skills, as well as attention to detail

Employment

Druid is based in Galway. However, given the amount of traveling involved with the position, the candidate can be based anywhere on the island of Ireland. Salary commensurate with experience.
