Druid mourns the passing of its former chairperson Seamus O’Grady.
During his tenure, Seamus guided Druid through a period of great ambition and success including the play cycles DruidSygne, DruidMurphy and DruidShakespeare, the West End run of My Brilliant Divorce by Geraldine Aron, and the refurbishment of our theatre on Druid Lane.
Druid’s Artistic Director, Garry Hynes: 'Seamus was a very dear friend of mine, and an ally and champion for all of us at Druid. During his many years of service, he provided us with support, wise counsel and firm leadership. I will miss him.'
Our thoughts are with his family and friends including his beloved wife Bernadette.
