Drawing on verbatim interviews with Ireland's pioneering female DJs and club goers, this electrifying performance remixes overlooked histories of club spaces, pirate radio and late-night resistance.
Structured like a DJ set, it follows their stories through the backdrop of Ireland in the 80s and 90s, a time of massive social change for female and queer rights. Part oral history, part mix, this performance brings club culture to the stage - creating a radical space for joy, defiance and collective memory.
Supported by the Arts Council. Developed as part of BLAS; an artist development programme run by The Town Hall Theatre, Galway Theatre Festival and theatre maker James Riordan.
Duration: 60 mins
Guidance: 18+. Contains haze, loud sounds, strong language and strobe.
