By Samuel Beckett
Directed by Paul Brennan
A one act play is set in Hamm’s house, a man who is blind with no legs. He is accompanied by Clov, his servant who cannot sit and his parents Nell and Nagg who also have no legs and live in side by side trashcans. The story is full of anger and arguments between this bunch of unfortunate people.
Beckett’s Endgame an hilarious and triumphal play is a theatrical experience way beyond the ordinary. This experience is a double-edged one, offering both superb comedy and a profound vision of the human condition.
This production was part of a double bill with Pursuit of Pleasure.
..a show to be warmly recommended…
it is a tribute to Mr. Brennan and his actors that they bring alive the deep, poetic feeling of this difficult play and succeed very weel in fusing its elements of farce and tragedy
