Directed by Garry Hynes

The play is set in 16th century Ireland when English rule first dominated Ireland. It is focussed around Graineuaile, the central character and her obsession with Elizabeth I and her royal presence. This is a historical fantasy of the old Ireland in late 1500s and early 1600s.

A bridge of class…highly original…remarkable techniques…finely conceived abnd excellently executed
