A new play by Sonya Kelly Directed by Sara Joyce now available on demand for a limited period.
A tale for a modern age.
Early one morning on Putney Bridge, three strangers’ lives collided for one fleeting second.
Inspired by real events, Once Upon a Bridge weaves a tale about human triumph and frailty, about the power of destiny and chance, and why sometimes we choose to hate, and other times we choose to dance.
In a world premiere production, Once Upon a Bridge was performed and live streamed from The Mick Lally Theatre, Galway, for four performances 11-13 February 2021. This on demand recording was made during this original run. The cast includes Druid Ensemble member Aaron Monaghan with Siobhán Cullen and Adetomiwa Edun.
Druid premiered Sonya Kelly’s previous ‘whip-smart’ (Irish Independent) comedy Furniture during the Galway International Arts Festival 2018, followed by a 13-venue national tour in 2019
Duration: 60 minutes with no interval
Purchasing a ticket allows you to view the performance on one device in your own time from Thursday 25th February 2021 at 10am GMT until Sunday 28th February at 11pm GMT.
