As Nora tends to the corpse of her husband Dan in their farm a tramp comes looking for shelter only to walk into problems. Dan confides in him he is not actually dead when Nora seeks help from Michael a shepherd who when finds Dan ‘dead’ in the barn proposes to Nora… How will everyone react when Dan gets up to confront Michael?
