As we celebrate 50 years of Druid, we’re launching the Druid Futures Fund—an initiative to support the next generation of Irish theatre-makers, storytellers, and audiences.

With your support, we are able to:

  • Nurture emerging artists through residencies and mentorship.
  • Champion new voices with play commissions and script development.
  • Expand our community outreach and educational programmes.

Programmes supported through the Futures Fund include:

  • Marie Mullen Bursary: Mentorship and hands-on experience for women theatre artists in Ireland.
  • FUEL Artist Residency: 9-month programme for emerging theatre-makers living in the West of Ireland.
  • Druid Debuts: Workshops and public readings of new plays selected through our annual open submissions window.
  • Community & Education: Free workshops and educational resources for schools and community groups.
Imagine the Future with Us

In the end, your donation isn’t just a gift to Druid—it’s an investment in the future of Irish theatre itself. Together, we can ensure that tomorrow’s playwrights have a platform from which to create, that aspiring artists have the mentorship and resources they need, and that more people experience live professional theatre in their own communities.

Imagine a young person’s creativity, sparked by seeing their first Druid performance, who goes on to pursue a career in the arts. Or think of a talented playwright whose first production comes to the stage with your assistance.

Together, we’ll ensure that Irish theatre continues to evolve and inspire for decades to come. Every contribution—big or small—makes a difference. Join us in shaping the future of Irish theatre today.
